Dartford Creek is best reached on foot by walking down Hythe Street from the station or centre of Dartford.  Proceed past the Hufflers Arms and turn right along a footpath (Nelsons Row) which leads to the footbridge across the creek and the restored slipway. It is possible to park along Hythe Street north of Victoria Road. Once across the footbridge turn left to follow the DB1 footpath alongside the creek. This path is also part of the Darent Valley Path.

Crayford Creek is accessible from on either the north or south bank by following minor roads north of the A206 as shown below. The route on the north bank is part of the Cray Riverway footpath.
